Today's dumb questions

Is the .357 round the Desert Eagle shoots the same as a .357 sig? and/or is it interchangeable with the ammo used in revolvers? What are the prevailing thoughts about the quality of Desert Eagle weapons?
Thank you

NO question is a dumb question - please feel free to ask. You might want to do a bit of research next time though; if you'd seen both cartridges (alone or together, in your hand or on an ammo seller's website) prior to forming your question, you'd have answered it yourself with a bit of recollection.

Looked at one just the other day. That is one heavy gun. I love the idea, but I just can't imagine hoisting that hunk of metal for long.

I shoot my .44 DE regularly with no ill effects. In fact, my 15 year old daughter loves to fire it also, but gets discouraged when she can't group em.
