    A .357 sig is like the .357 magnum.power wise theres not much difference but the .357sig is made to shoot in a semi auto,where as the .357 magnum is mostly a revolver cartridge.The sig bullet is shorter than a magnum and is bottle necked.Where the magnumis taller and shaped strait.I would recomend you get your husband a Ruger P94 .40 auto,or a Smith& Wesson Sigma Model SW 40v.The Sigma is a quality gun with a price tag in the three hundred plus range.Hope this helps.By the way its a nice thing your doing for your Husband!!

    I did try sending one to the mail that is on his name where it says moderator but it came back and said he didnt exist so I dont know i guess I will just have to go ahead and tell him.Thank You anyway to everyone who helped me Eric is right you are friendly and helpful.
