Please help. I have 2-receivers and 4-barrels and trying to bring one or two shotguns back to life. Ithica tells me that EVERY receiver and barrel with a SN under 855,000 has to be sent back to the factory and be machined. Can anyone give more information on what machining has to be done. I just can't believe that every barrel was indivually machinged to each receiver. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Please email personally at fred@cristcdl.com it you can help. Thanks Fred

It is my understanding that earlier models are not compatable with the threads of the later models. I don't know what the difference is.

I think there might be some compatibility with barrels and guns with serial numbers UNDER 855,000-though it is not like guns above 855,000 in which ALL barrels will fit ALL guns with numbers above 855,000.
Have you tried to match the guns with the barrels.
What serial number range are the receivers, and what range are the guns?
