Iv'e been researching ar 15's trying to figure out which one to buy and I just came across an olympic arms. I am surprised how cheap! only 700 when the colt and bushmasters are more like 900 and up. Supposidly this rifle has a 9 twist rate while the others have 7. Is there anything wrong with this gun. sounds too good to be true considering I don't hear too much about them. everyone I know either has a colt or bushmaster. comments ? experience?
much appreciated.

I don't have a lot of practical experience with 15s, but I believe
the twist rate choice depends on if you are using heavier military
bullet weights, or lighter varmint bullets.
I am sure someone more expert than I can clarify.

We have been selling Olympic Arms for quite some time they have been in business since 1976 located in the state of Washington I believe.
Found them to be of good quality. Hope this helps.

I've got the pcr with the 16 inch heavy barrel, it has functioned flawlessly. It uses all magazines I've tried except the eagle. I'm really happy with the accuracy. It's a really good gun so far, I've put about 600 rounds through it. Go to their home page and check out the goodies they offer, they even have a forum where you can ask questions.

    Thanks, Grizztribefans@sssnet.com

I believe you will be very happy with the 16" 1/9 twist.
They even make it with a SS barrel with a black oxide finish.

I've had an Oly PCR4 for some time now, 20" hvy black stainless brl, A2 sights, standard handguards and stock. Great rifle, I would (will) buy another Oly product.
