I'm trying to remember what the name is for the aftermarket thing you can buy that attaches to the opening in the receiver (on bolt and pump-action rifles) and "catches" the cartridge instead of allowing it to be flung out.
No, I'm not thinking of a traditional brass-catcher. If I recall it's a metal picture-frame looking thing and it makes the opening too small for the cartridge base to fit out, so the empty round ends up suspended there for you to pluck out by hand instead.
