I was allowing students to clean guns at the end of the CCW class and a student managed to push the take down lever OUT of the Bersa without removing the slide! I cannot seem to get it back in. Help!? Or does it need a trip to the gunsmith?
Thanks in advance,
Pam

There is a section on the Bersa, double action .380, Model 383. In the Gun Digest, disassembly book, of semi-automatic pistols. by J.B. Wood.

#1, The slide has to be removed, by pulling it all the way to the rear. Then lift the rear of the slide up and move it forward off the barrel.

#2, This gives access to to the takedown latch retainer under the barrel. Use a small punch or screwdriver to depress the takedown spring retainer. Than reinstall the takedown latch.
