AICS Magazine - Confused

I understand AI has an AICS style magazine and an AX style magazine. What's the difference?
I picked up PTG detach mag bottom metal for a Winchester Model 70 and the AI magazine I use in my Ruger GSR is too big for it. The cheap Ruger poly mags are of course too big too. So whichever AI style magazine fits the Ruger, this PTG takes the other - I think.
The magazine opening in the Win 70 measures .660" in the rear and .630" up front - front to back is about 3.1". Any help appreciated.
This is the PTG bottom metal I bought:
http://www.midwayusa.com/product/497943/ptg-trigger-guard-for-aics-detachable-box-magazine-winchester-model-70-short-action-aluminum-black
Midway "suggests" adding a magazine and the one they show is an AX version. Safe to assume this is the style that fits?

Call PTG
Glad I still have the hinged floorplate, I may be using it for a while.
