Mauser LER see-through scope mount ?

Looking for advice and feedback from anyone who knows of a source for a LER scout scope mount that will allow for see-through use of iron sights for a large ring Mauser. I know of Brass Stacker LER mount, but that mount restricts shooter to existing military rear sight. My old eyes need more than original military primitive sights. Thanks for any help with my search

I had the scout type scope mounts, on two of my rifles. SKS and Swede Mauser. Both utilized the existing rear sight for mounting purposes, once the tangent sub assembly had been removed.

The only way your going to be able to mount a scout scope forward of the receiver. And still have the option to use receiver/peep sights. Is to have a extension block custom made, with a hole machined latterly through it. This is going to put the axis of the scope, to high to get any kind of a descent cheek weld on the stock.

Brass Stacker, and get the lace on leather cheekrest/ammo pouch too.

I've got 2-3 Mausers with the "scout scope" mounted to the rear sight base. I really don't see how you can have both operational w/o raising the scope uncomfortably high. I never bought into the scout scope craze and consider that to be an expedient rather than an long term solution.
