FNX 45

Looking at an offer to get one and wanted yall's opinion on them. I've got small hands and a 1911 fits well and I've got an STI Spartan 4 now that shoots EXTREMELY well but I'm not crazy about the 7+1 capacity.

You got small hands, a double stack mag, might prove to be a problem. I had a opportunity to get a very good deal, on a double stack CZ 95 CZ 97 years ago. I let it go because my hand were too small for the grip.

Do they have good resale? Are they pretty desired?

Check them out, on the completed auctions. Best way to tell how popular they are, and fair market value.

They are not that popular among "tactical" and LE folks because of the screwy safety lever.

I have an example of most of the major high capacity (ten or more magazine capacity) .45ACP pistols, including the H-K USP, Para-Ordnance LDA, EAA Witness, etc., and find the FNX the absolute best of the bunch by far. The FNX has interchangeable back straps so using the smaller one will fit the gun better to a smaller hand.

I love the safety on the FNX and cannot imagine what "tactical" folks would find objectionable (screwy - really?) about it.

I did a ton of research on the FNX as well as handling one or two or three...I have medium to smallish hands also. Try and hold one to see if the weight of the pistol is right for you. I bought one and am satisfied.

Assuming the Safety is similar to the FNP-45, I can't imagine why anyone would have an objection.

A de-cocker/safety on an SA/DA, hammer fired pistol is the holy grail.

It takes a few times, however, to trust the de-cocking. Even now, I point the muzzle into a large potted plant when de-cocking after cleaning and re-loading.

    To the OP:

The grip is surprisingly small, IMO. I have fairly large hands, but the polymer housing and has a thin enough wall so as to accommodate smaller hands. As noted above, there are also different thickness backstraps that come with the pistol to allow some adjustment.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

I love those guns. Trigger is crisp and light with little to no over travel. Gun is well balanced. Feature set is ideal. Come with 3 mags new, I believe.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

    +1

I had a FNP-40 I sold and I wish someone had kicked me in the nuts for doing so.[V]
