calling cougars ?????

I live in central Oregon, and have called coyotes, and bob-cats for years. Now that we can't hunt with hounds, or bait for bears, the cougar population has increased dramatically. I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to call cougars specifically, and with what success. Any info. will be appreciated. THX

It helps if you are less than 30 years of age, tell them they are the sexiest woman alive, and buy them several drinks!

never done it on purpose but have had them come in to cottontail tapes but not jackrabbit. my dad killed his biggest lion while calling bobcats with a woodpecker tape in thick riverside cover. have had black bears in the fall come into a hen turkey call

Screaming cougar electronic call will work. +1 for sweet talk and a few drinks for the other kind.

Howdy from the NE corner of Oregon, neighbor! I've got a couple of buddies that have good luck using the electronic calls. They tell me that the key is to find a good spot to watch from and to HOLD STILL! Cougars hunt predominantly by sight and have great vision.
I used to live in central Oregon and have spent many a night on the desert east of Bend calling and spotlighting coyotes. Good times!

Up here in the Bremerton area they are usually easy to spot. They are usually wearing tavern jackets.
