I just received a p89 that I bought at auction and it came with a 30 rd hi cap mag. I don't like the balance w/ this mag after having shot it this afternoon. What should I ask for it at auction? Why would someone need 30 rds to hit something??

Your looking at $15 to $20. They are still readily avaible, and still pretty cheap. Now if it was a ruger brand, it's different, but they never made 30rnd clips for the handguns I don't think.

The big distributors generally sell them for $15-$20 in new condition. Maybe you could get that for a used one selling to an indiividual if you hold out for a while.

$20.00- $35.00I have a drawer full, very few will take ball ammo(to long). Ruger never made twenty or thirty round mags. I even have three that are Hard Stamped "Ruger P.85 9mm" and they don't take ball ammo. Keep it for the range and in case you buy a Ruger PC-9.
