Can anyone identify this Lyman Peep site

Lyman peep site with flip down aperature. The only markings are Lyman and a running buck with a peep site on his body. This site is on and was made for an old Model 94. It uses original existing holes in the receiver.It mounts on the side of the receiver and has a large thumb lever which you can loosen. It has several graduation lines on it for different ranges. Ill bet it will adjust up a good inch and a half or so. I have jpeg pictures if anybody wants to see it. email me at tkrott@pennswoods.net for pics.

Sorry,but i can't seem to bring pictures up.I am not a computer whiz.I have a lot of old books showing Lyman sights and thought i might be able to identify.Sorry i can't help.

Is this one of those sights that has a long 'finger' running on the left side of the receiver to an existing screw hole on the upper forward side of the receiver? If so, all I've ever seen it called is "the Lyman receiver sight", and I know that's no help.

Sounds like a Lyman D-DA. If you have access to The Winchester Book there is a picture of it on page 584.

sent a picture to Nick Stroebel, he identified it as a Lyman #21 receiver peep, approx value $100 to $150 dollars

Mr Snow I did find the marking DA on the back of the site. Did the Winchester book say if it was an original site? I do not have access to a book. Thanks for your infopabooger

I have a pencil notation next to that D-DA sight (I've the Madis book): It's the same as the Lyman #21. It's in the pictures in chapter 18 where Mr Madis refers to the sight as "the Lyman sight".

The Winchester Book states, "No other feature of Winchester arms varies as much as the original sighting equipment". Yes, this sight did come as an option offered by Winchester. They also made some of their own sights.
