I think I'm gonna like this round. Can any of you guys give me a starting point, and any tips as to powder, primer, bullet, and crimp. I want to stay around 165gr bullitt. I'm gonna use Remington brass right now.

Speer's list IMR 4350 @ 50 - 54.0 C grns for the 160 grain bullit. The next is IMR 4831 @ 51.0 - 55.0 C grains. The C is for compacted. I've been shooting the 145s and 140s and really like the Noslers boattail ballistic tip.

I have a Ruger 77V in 280 what it likes best is a 154 Hornady spire point over 54.5 gr of IMR 4350 gives me a 10 shot aveage of 2900 fps, I pushed it faster but then the accuracy started to fall off

I have the model six in .280win and have found the nosler 140 ballistic tips the best.Imr4831 works well with my gun, I work my loads but I have found my gun shoots 1gr. less than max very well.
