I think your thinking of the Fabrique National FiveseveN. It a new wimp gun designed for the military utilizing a 5.7mm (really tiny and light weight) projectile travelling at a very high velocity. Military downsizing again. However on the plus size the gun is as simple as a glock, reliable, modular (lights, lazers, and suppressors), and has a high capacity of 20rds in the flush fittin magazine. They also offer an extended magazine I believe is a 30rd. It also has such low recoil that they are planning to develop a selective fire version (like the glock 18) and possibly a modular stock for it. Another plus is that the trajectory is so flat that you can put the sights on a 15yd target or a 100yd target and its supposed to hit in the same place. Its supposed to have more kevlar defeating capability than other handgun cartridges but not nearly as much as the current 5.56x45mm. I believe it is reported to be able to defeat a IIIA level vest up to 75 yard away, where as the 5.56x45 is supposed to accomplish this up to twice that.
