All you need do is have the chamber reamed by a gunsmith.. Shooting standard 30-30 rounds through it will fire form the cases to A.I.

I had the conversion done to my 30-30 a few years ago by McGowen rifle. You may have read their advertising in gun mag's: "Accuracy go you over a barrel". They had to remove the barrel which was time taking apart the rifle...sorry...I don't recall the exact cost's. While at McGowen's they did the following: 30-30 Ackley conversion, test fired rifle, target crowned the muzzle and Cryo treated the barrel for less than $210. BUT GET THIS, THEY DID IT CHEAPER with SHIPPING COSTS INCLUDED than if I had, had the work done in my own home town!!! posted Saturday 4-6-2002 before 9a.m.[This message has been edited by michael minarik (edited 04-06-2002).][This message has been edited by michael minarik (edited 04-06-2002).][This message has been edited by michael minarik (edited 04-06-2002).][This message has been edited by michael minarik (edited 04-06-2002).]
