Value of old Tang Sight

I have a Marbles # R8, Special Rear Sight, for Remington Model 14 and/or Model 141 rifles.It is in the original box, has an additional appreture and original instructions.It appears to of never been mounted on a gun and is in excellent condition, 100% bluing, no rust etc.Your thoughts appreciated.

    Newly manufactured tang peeps are not cheap--just check the catalogs--and few are made. I would say, because yours is for a specific gun, its value is in the $50 range. Were it for general application to a number of guns it would probably be worth in excess of $100. You can always ask the higher figure and later come down on price if there are no takers.
