Bolt action 22's

Been looking for a BA 22 for plinking/squirrels. Are those Romanian 22's any good, or should I stick with a new Marlin? Any other companies make a good, inexpensive shooter? Prefer clip over a tube-fed.Thaks, Chad

I would stay away from the Romanians.Marlin would be a much better choice. NEF makes a nice little bolt action single shot 22 that can be bought for under $100.

These are nice rifles. They are all wood and steel, and where can you find that at under $100. I put a scope on mine and I have really been impressed with accuray. The trigger pull could be better, and extra mags are hard to find. Classic Arms in N.C. has them for $9.95.

Dunham's has them for around $70, so I think I will buy one and find out. If I don't like then I'm not out too much. Thanks,Chad
