I read recently that one of the big ammo manufacturers has standardized this caliber. Factory brass ought to be available soon. Im sure that most people form it out of 30-06 brass.

Weatherby is now making the .338-06, if memory serves Norma makes their proprietary cartridges, so Norma may have the brass.

If you wanted to be safer you could probably form this brass from 35 whelen as well.

A-Square standardized the 338-06 several years ago. They have facory brass on hand. It is great quality and reasonably priced. They can be reached at (502) 255-3021. Weatherby has chambered in this caliber and I'm sure others will follow, it's a great round.

Hey guys, just get some 35 whelen brass and run through your 338/06 die and trim it to an even length and load it. Be sure to adjust the sizer to properly set the headspace for your rifle's chamber. The ones I just did were fine w/o turning necks or anything.
