Need to identify side mount base.

I have a 1903 Springfield NRA Sporter that has the base for a scope side mount but no ring assembly. What is there is a male dovetail base .302" wide X 2 5/8" long. It has a threaded hole in the top of the dovetail that is 1" from the front. This base is casehardened and looks like a G & H except it does not have the two grooves across the rib that I see on G & H bases. It is held in place by three screws and two pins above the wood line and an additional three screws beneath the wood. Any help in identifying the maker of this base will be appreciated

Hang on I'll check the measurements.Nope mine has two levers as well.According to C E Harris Jaeger also made a single lever side mount scope set up.I think you can still get them.Check the addresses in GUN DIGEST.Ther have been several others who have made custom mounts along the lines of G&H but none surpassed it.Lan-Dav were copies of G&H but no longer made.Echoe mounts were not up to the job so didn't last long.I guess I'll keep my last two rifles with these good mounts as apparantly that is the last of them.Good luck finding rings.bill
