Its been a year or so ago, but I saw an H&R M-12 (CMP gun) listed on gunbroker for $525 with no sights or bases ... I remember because I bought one from the CMP for $300, sold the Redfield Palma rear sight for $325 and the Redfield Olympic front sight and inserts for $70, then had it drilled and tapped for scope mounts ...

I still enjoy the gun, which is very accurate (about 1MOA at 100yds with Eley 10X and Federal Gold Medal 900B), fully adjustable trigger, 24" bull barrel which is free-floated ... they were bought by the army for sniper training in the late 60's and early 70's I beleive.

The only bad thing about choosing a Kimber ...
... there are so darn many models to choose from!
