Its the old school saturday night special. Everyone was making breaktop 32's and 38's back then. S&W probably made the best quality. Honestly I don't think they have any collectors value, unless they are in exceptional condition. But there were several hundreds of thosands made by various companies including Iver Johnson, S&W, US, H&R, etc.

Honestly, unless you collect them, or just found it pretty cheap and wanted to add it to your collection, I'd pass. In my opinion, they are usually a little high on gunbroker. You can find them cheaper at shows and person to person.

I personal have one, I think, like the Marlin 60, every serious firearms enthusiast should own one. I got mine for $35 last year, and it shoots.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

Picked up my US Revolver, .32 Cal, 90% condition for $40.00 a year or so ago. Will never use or fire just wanted a small Topbreak revolver. If possible check 'timing' prior to buying.

I have several of these old pistols. Worksmanship ain't great, but they do work. I generally reload the top breaks with black powder, but they can take light smokeless loads if in good shape; pull pins and swing outs can take modern ammo no worries.

Hey, you'd be supprised how many of them are actually out on the street still. Seen a few that were in some pretty ratty, unfireable condition, that were used in roberies and such.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
