I have recently found myself in possession of a COlt Pistol. It has engravings of Address Col. Saml Colt New York US America on the barrell--Engaged 16 May 1843-- Pat. Sept 10, 1850-- Ser# 204561--and there are ships engraved all around the cylynder, not to mention the various places the ser# is engraved. it has an 8" barrell if I measured right and this is the best part. ITS NEVER BEEN FIRED! Can someone help me place a number on this thing??

I have no idea when Sam Colt became engaged. You either have a million dollar gun or a replica. Hope it is in the seven digit category. Perhaps one of the Colt Black Powder guns. Good Luck. 101
