Ted William Model 400 ....worth?

I bought the above shotgun to use for skeet shooting.
I am to old and they are to fast. I was told this is
the same as a Winchester 101 and did compare it to one
at the skeet range. I could see no differance, except
Sears is on mine and Winchester was on his. The shotgun
is in NRA excellent condition. What can I realistically
expect to be able to get out of it?

    The 101 was offered in a variety of grades and value in part depends on the grade as well as condition of course. The value of the Ted Williams will be lower that the corresponding grade of 101. This is not to say that it is not a fine shotgun, but that value is determined by demand, and there is little collector demand for store brand guns. Its value will be as a shooter rather than as a collectable, thus it will have much less value than the 101. Someone here should be able to give you a dollar range (condition is critical to valuing guns) but I would be surprised if the value is over $250, aand it may be substantially less.

    This may suprise the heDog, but these in plain
    vanilla sell for $550 up to $600. They are
    extremely well made, the same as Winchester.
    So don't let anyone low ball you on the price.
    Take it to a gunshow and you will do well on
    getting a fair price out of it.

    Traded the OU for a Bushmaster AR15 and $75,
    that equals a happy camper, thanks a lot.
