Getting ready to purchase a .270. At this point I am stuck on two different brands. The Ruger MKII and the Browning A-Bolt. Suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

Browning A-Bolt!!!!!I shot one here recently and it was the nicest rifle I have ever fired.I plan on getting one in .300 win mag.

Browning, without hesitation. Ive had mine for over twenty years and it is awsome. Why would you choose a 270 though when you can get the 300 mag or 7mm mag for the same price and hunt anything from deer to moose?

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

Definately the Browning A-bolt, I have a Synthetic Stalker in .270 with the BOSS system, It has a really nice action, its light, and very accurate. I was debating on getting rid of it because I have a .257 Weatherby that I am building and I need some $$$ to finish it, If you are interested, here's my email:

Buy American, Ruger. Why send your hard earned money to some offshore company by buying a Browning or Winchester.

Hands down Browning. If Ruger wants you to buy American, they will make a better product one day.

Hey man a good gun is a good gun no matter where its made.Glock,Ak-47 variants,Steyr,CZ,HK,SIG SAUER the list goes on.Even our military sidearm is of Italian origin If you get too militant about only American made guns you miss out on alot of good guns.Especially Brownings.

Dont get me wrong Im not preaching here because their are good firearms made right here in the U.S.A my favorite rifle is the M-14 and M1A1 Bush Rifle. But facts are facts other countries do make fine firearms.Glock is the LEO handgun of choice right here in America.Im not saying only buy American guns and Im not saying only buy foreign guns Im saying whatever gun is best for your needs buy it.A Ruger rifle just isnt as quality as a Browning.I have shot both and was more impressed with the Browning.I actually only own one foreign manufactured gun the rest are American. As for automobiles I am a Cadillac fiend but I do own a Mazda RX-7 as well and it is more fun to drive than any Cadllac.I own a Yamaha V-MAX and nobody can argue the fact that thing is a true monster its faster than any Harley Ive been on and thats including the Harley hearted Buells. But we do make fine firearms and a few fine cars just depends on what is best for your needs.
