Calico carbines

I've recently been contemplating the purchase of a Calico M-100 or M-105 carbine. Although I'm intrigued by the possibility of firing 100 rounds before reloading, I know that many high-capacity .22 LR semi-autos have a tendency to jam for a variety of reasons. Does anybody out there have any experience with these rifles, in terms of reliability, durability and accuracy?

After looking at the post on IDing a Calico rifle, I wondered, How do these things shoot? Never seen one in person. Id like to get one in 9mm or a Kel Tec Sub 2000 as a fun range gun.

I dont have any experience with the .22 but my brother in law had the 9mm versio and he was in love with that thing.I shot it alot with him and Im talking like at least 1,000 rounds and it never malfunctioned on me or him. They seem to be of high quality but with the low pressure of the 22 it might have problems feeding that many rounds rapidly.Accuracy wasnt outstanding but it wasnt bad either its far more accurate than a TEC-9 and with 100 rounds how accurate do you need to be.

If you keep them clean they do fine. But with .22 rimfire its very hard to do.According to an article I read you would be better off investing your money on something else.

I had the pistol in 22lr and it was GREAT!! Talk about fun at the range. Short trigger pull, no jams, was alot of fun. Sold it tho and got the carbine. Took it to the range and it doesn't seem to have as short of a trigger pull as the pistol did, but it still pops them off as fast as you can pull the trigger. Gotta keep it clean tho.

Have the 9mm pistol and it is again very nice. Has the 100 rd mag instead of the standard 50 rd mag. Can heat things up if you go thru all of the rounds without giving it a rest in between.

I darn sure wish I would have bought one. I rember looking at one, and if I remember right it was priced at $200 or so. Boy, I'm kicking myself in the but for that one.

I wanted the model I saw in a magazine ad, but I don't think they ever produced. It had a nice walnut foregrip, and a walnut thumnbhole stock, with a nice matching scope on top. Boy that was pretty. I wouldn't mind having the prop they used in the add...

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
