I do not want to "beat a dead horse" but I do not think I asked my previous question properly.

Which of these pistols has the ability to accomodate large hands? I have a Ruger KP89 and I wish the mag had a finger rest. I have a Llams .32 ACP 1911A1 and the marks to prove it each time I fire it. Which of these .32ACP pistols has the largest "handle" ?

I just want a nice .32ACP for shot placement.

Thanks for the info available here.

Another variable to consider --- factory PPK mags are made both with and without the finger extension.

The PP would best suit you with the finger rest,

I don't think it's the grip size that's so important in getting bitten by a hammer, it's the hammer style. You need a pistol with a ring type hammer rather than the spur style unless you get a 1911 with a large grip safety tang. All of the Walther PP series have the ring style hammer.

Everything above is correct. My advise is to watch for the slide, you may get nasty cut.

I have large hands, And a PPK S. I changed the factory grips to rosewood grips. It only ads about1/8" thickness. But I really like them.

I would be more concerned with the fact that on a Walther, the design of the handle is such that your hand is going to hurt, period. The metal on the handle is sharp on the corners, and digs into your hand. It isn't comfortable on a .32, but is no fun at all on a .380. Different grips may make a difference, as long as they curve the corner on the handle.

Anyone desiring information on Walther's should refer to the article in Guns & Ammo, August 2002, From S&W with Love, pg 58-63.
