Winchester Model 250

I plan on passing down an old Winchester Model 250 (.22 cal lever action)to my son. (serial # 404800)

Q: Is there any way I can find out how old the weapon is? Where can I obtain parts for this rifle?

I tried Winchester's web site without success. I might call them and see what I can learn unless someone has another suggestion.

Appreciate any help or suggestions.

    Black Roses.

I figured the gun didn't have much $ value, but it's the gun that my brother and I learned to shoot with some 30+ years ago. My son has now shot it for his first time.
    Thanks.
