Does anyone know the general worth of an early '80s H&K 770, 308cal, semi- auto. Gun is in very good condition. I also have 10 round clip and factory snap-on-to-0 scope mount. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

I've seen them on the auction side going for $700-$800, but you don't see the H&K 770 very often, seems like people that have 'em, keep 'em.

As with cars, the gun "blue book" can be a good guide, but surfing the auctions and seeing what they are actually selling for is much more accurate (opposed to the asking price).

I agree with the other guys,in 98% the Book says $795.00 then add the price of your scope. And see what they are selling for my book is not very detailed, with limited information. But your in the ball park.

    Best!!

Ditto LTS - HK's do tend to go high! And like you said ""Very good condition" is not a great description for this rifle" ... yours and my idea of very good may be totaly different from that of minicast.

For a good price a detailed description is needed, complete with flaws.
