This revolver has light turn mark on cylinder. other wise 95% 8in. barrel.serial number E-oo3xxx. When was it made. What is it worth?

    OTHER THEN DAN WESSON THEMSELVES. WHERE CAN YOU GET BARREL'S FOR THEM. i HAVE A 740SS HUNTER PACK WITH A 8'' BARREL.I HAVE FOUND A NOTHER SPARE 8'' BARREL ON EBAY BUT HAVE NOT SEEN ANYMORE COME UP IN THE PAST YEAR OR SO.i WOULD LIKE A 4'' , 6'' AND A 10'' THANKS FOR ANY HELP.[:D]

    I am afraid you pretty well nailed it. I know of no one who makes aftermarket barrels and shrouds for the DW. DW does offer them but they are pricey.

    "Pistol Packs", as they are referred, are very hard to come by. Occasionally I've seen a complete pistol pack with shrouds and barrels on consignment at local gun stores, but your best bet is going to be gun shows. When I bought my DW in 1981, Pistol Packs were going for $1000. Theres a guy at *************** that has a pistol pack for sale with 2.5, 4, 6, 8, and 15 inch barrels and shrouds. His starting bid is 699.

    P.S. well apparently they dont like other website names in these replies as it is masked out in my previous reply. But think of Auction and Arms and then a dot and a com, and you've got it. They might have what your looking for.

    thanks for the info. i checked that gun out but it is not a super mag . that 15'' barrel is somthing.

    mine was a hunter pack it came with one barrel ,one full lug shroud and one half lug shroud with a 2x-4x leupold scope on it

    Are the barrels and shrouds different between the .357 and .357 Max?

    Yes the 357 Max was built on the large frame like the 41 and 44. I think the Super Mag and the large frame will interchange but don't hold me to it. I know that the Medium frame 357 mag and below will not interchange with the large frame.
