what height of Warne rings?

Going to order some Warne Maxima bases and rings tomorrow and was wondering what height to go with. I was thinking medium would suite my needs but I could use a confirmation on this with the two rifles I'm going to buy for.

1) Target/Range gun - Remington 700 PSS - Tasco SS 42mm objective, 30 mm tube.

2) Hunting rifle - Howa 1500 - Burris Fullfield II scope with 40mm objective, 1 inch tube.

Thanks, GL.

    Are your stock profiles similar?

Will their "low" ring give you enough clearance between scope objective bell and barrel?

I'm one that wants as much cheek join to the stock as possible, but you may have other preferences.

If both rifles have similar stock profiles then research the specs. on the rings and buy the set that best fits the way you like to hold your rifles. Really once you get by the clearance aspects it's more of a personal choice rather than technical.

If the stock profiles are not similar then you have to take the difference(s) into consideration too.

Medium on the remmie. Low on the howa. Both will position scope bell about 1/8" above the barrel.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Only some have film.

Thanks! I also found the ring height measurements/dimensions in their catalog. Had to download it from their website.
