can anybody tell my how to get a complete factory boss.

it's not the type of gun you have in the heat of a battle that counts, only if you have enough ammo for it, lets face it, a gun without ammo is only as good as a base ball bat!!

Have you tried an employment agency?[;)] Or are you talking about a BOSS muzzle brake?

You will need to find a Browning dealer near you. Factory won't sell them to non-dealers.

From Blacarrow on you last thread on this subject:

quote:Hope this will be of some help to you.

Until my recent retirement, I was the Chief Firearms Test Engineer at Browning Arms. I did all the developmental accuracy testing on the BOSS project (something over 35,000 rds. shot)

If you have access to a competent gunsmith, have him thread the barrel, and, if popssible mill the slot to accomodate the nylon insert (we used commonly found "weedeater" line when we were first developing the system - worked just fine) An inch of threads should be sufficient. You can get the appropriate components, i.e. collar, weight, center (with or without recoil reducing), from Browning for whatever caliber you want. I can tell you how to make the "index" marks on the barrel.

Sounds more complicated than it really is. The major difficulty is finding the right gunsmith, as good ones are a dying breed, unfortunately.

You can e-mail me at: blacarrow@att.net

I'll be glad to help you as my time permits. Am also having intermittant computer problems due to a virus I'm trying to kill.

    Best regards,

    Rob

This is likely as good an answer as you will get.
