Identifying shotgun

Please look at those pictures and ask yourself the question. "Are these any help in identifying this gun?" I think your answer will be NO!. The photos show nothing of the features of the gun, they are out of focus and blurred. I think I see a thumb and forefinger. Good clear well lighted and focused photographs are imperative in identifying anything.

if you are referring to me im not quite sure what you are getting at. the receiver picture isnt out of focus, atleast not as its displayed when i open the topic. and the other pic is just showing the stamping on the water table as someone had asked about markings. there arent any additional features to show. there is no stock or forend. no identifying features on the bbls.

if there is some other angle that would aid in identification id like to hear it so i can add it but as far as the focus is concerned im not sure how to remedy that if it is focused on the camera as well as focused on my view of the topic page

Ned, I don't know what you're viewing the pictures on (are you trying to look at them on some mobile device?) but on the original thread you commented, "I can see phillips head screws" -- the only phillip's head screw in the photos looks to be a part of the table/platform the shotgun receiver is sitting on. The shotgun receiver itself is in fairly good focus. I think there is a problem with the pictures on your end.

I think that I see how all the parts of this thread fit together.

    To the Original Poster:

Your first post should have been titled: "Identifying shotgun receiver". Then we would have understood that you don't have barrels, trigger guard, or wood.

You are correct, the first photo is mostly in focus. The problem is that your original image on the camera is too large, &, by the time the photo is uploaded & displayed, the pixels break down. To prevent this, use the photo editing software on your computer to resize the image to approximately 640 x 480, then upload it to the photo hosting site.

Also, it would be helpful if you would take photos of your receiver from the top, the bottom, & the left side.

    Neal
