I am a huge fan of the old A5 and I am well aware of their reputation. Has anyone had a chance to put the new model A5's through its paces? I am always a little hesitant to buy any new model gun/truck until its been out for a few years so they can work the bugs out. I haven't been able to find any torture test videos on this shotgun either.

I went by Dicks Sporting Goods the other day and had a look at one and it feels nothing like my A5 from the fifties. I liked the look and feel of the Benelli Montefeltro much better. The new A5 stock had a plastic look to me. Ran upon a near new Franchi Raptor and bought it instead.

We had a local DU shoot where they had a new camo A5 to shoot. I'm not an A5 fan but thought it was a really nice gun to shoot and it broke clay targets as well as my SX3. Get one!!!

The new A5 is A5 in name only. I'm sure it's a good shotgun, but they should have went with a new model number. I guess nothing is sacred.
