According to Ned Schwing, the Model 62A rifles made up through serial number 100,000 should be drilled & tapped, then they become increasingly sporadic up to serial number 120,000 (early 1941).
Winchester discontinued drilling & tapping the upper tang for a sight on all of the various models in 1941 or 1942. None of the post WW II production rifles (all models) were drilled & tapped, and they no longer had any tang markings.

SO WITH SERIAL# 151xxx IT IS NOT FACTORY DRILLED CORRECT?
The odds are greatly against it being factory original.
