Help with a 22 magnum clip

Hello, I was given 3 22 magnum clips and 3500 rounds of ammo. I don't know what the clips fit. There marked ERMA ESG-22WMR. They are black, heavey, all steel and hold 12 rounds. About 4 1/2 inches long. My camera is dead or I would take a pic. Any ideas? Thanks John

Do a search on Gunbroker for Erma, I found 2 guns selling now.One is a pocket pistol and the other is a Luger style pistol, both have pictures of the magazines it may help to compare.

Cletis, what were you going to do with the mags and the ammo? I may be interested in both or maybe just the mags themselves. I'm not sure what they fit either, but I might be willing to give them a try if the price is right. My E-mail is LRARMSX@MCHSI.COM

I searched on Gunbroker and none of the clips look like them. Ammoclip.com had one that was simmilar, but in 22lr. I'm not sure what to do with the clips or the ammo. I don't have a 22 mag, so I might have to buy one. Hopefully I'll like the gun that the clips fit?

Since it has Erma on it, maybe it's a Mauser? Maybe a Luger 22? Do a search on Luger or Stoeger or Mauser. Are you sure the ammo fits in the mags? The only 22 Mag semi auto handgun I can think of is the AMT. What brand of ammo is it? I might be interested in the ammo if you can't find a gun for it.Roy

Erma-Werke made a .22 carbine that accepted a 10 or 15 round clip; Gunparts sells the clips for $29-35. I never saw one in .22 mag, but, if you have a clip, they must have made it in that caliber. It's unlikely that you will find one for sale. Neal

I did a search on all the names and there was nothing close. I'm pretty sure the clips are 22 mag, not positive but the rounds fit right. I think this would be a mag for a rifle as the base is larger than the top.
The ammo is winchester super X, I'm not ready to sell it as it's at least 15 years old and I don't know what it's worth.
I'll see if I can't borrow a camera and snap a pic. Theres a gun show in palm beach this weekend, mabye someone there knows somthing.
    Thanks John
