why no "united states" selection

I am trying to sign up to big and there is no US, United States option, how the hell can I sign up to bid???

I hope I am not that blind to miss, it but me and my wife looked several times, I can not register??? HELP

On the first page of registration, where it says "Are you a resident of the USA?", answer YES. If you answer 'No', of course there is no United States in the list.

I did it again for the 3rd time, and yes everytime I picked US RESIDENT, and it still gave me a nation choice, but I received a error, in the transition from page one to page 2. Anyway I got it to work, thanks.
