RCBS Rockchucker press, not the most expensive but not the cheapest either. New in box retail around 100, used (including shipping) not more than 75-80 bucks
you will also need a decent scale
lee dies are good at around 20-25 new

If all you expect to load will be rifle cartridges for hunting / practice, I would strongly recommend a single stage RCBS press & accessories. Well-engineered, well-built with excellent warranty & service. IMO, the best value on the market. I've used one for 30+ years, no problems, no complaints, 100s of Ks of rounds.

Either the R.C.B.S. Rockchucker or the Redding "Boss", can't go wrong with either one. They are both excellent single stage presses.

My wife got me an RCBS single stage kit for Christmas. I've been reloading .280, .270, 30-06, 22-250, 45lc, 38sp. I love it. I've heard bad and good about Lee's - Dillons are great if you can afford them. I would not mind a progressive for handgun, but I do like the single stage for rifle.

rlfcjf: It sounds as if you are getting ready to start reloading for the first time. All the suggestions above are good, with the RCBS Rockchucker being the one most fitting your needs. There are a few other things you will need also. Start with a powder measure to dispense powder, a scale to weigh powder charges, a micrometer, a lube pad and lube, reloading blocks, priming tool (while you can prime on the rockchucker, a seperate hand-help priming tool gives yopu a better 'feel' and will save time) and most of all; these two things. 1) A GOOD reloading book (or 3)and 2) an experienced reloader to 'walk you through' the paces a few times. Reloading is a great hobby, both a way to create custom loads for your rifles and to save money. Good Luck
