Alright, I'm down to two guns. Winchester X2 or the Benelli pump with inertia dampeners. I'm looking for pro's and con's, any and all advise would be appreciated.

Get the M1 or SBE Benelli. I have the the M1 and shoot sporting clays to geese with it. Works on inertia and no messy gas ports to clean.

Ok guys last call any more oppinions? thats one for the benelli, let me know! M1? What brand is the M1? I'm trying to keep the price down around 800.00 or so, right now I'm leaning towards the benelli. Come on, the clock is ticking, I got to this weekend to make a decision. After that my wife turns back into a bully and I just loose out! SPEAK-TO-ME!

Gunnut; Thanks. Appreciate the come back. I guess I was hoping to get a auto but lately I think the benelli pump will suffice, I hardly need the auto feature except for recoil. I guess thats where the recoil dampeners come into play. Any more?..... I'm listening...

I got a Benelli Montefeltro last year for 725.00 brand new out of the "Gun List". It is the sweetest 12 gauge I have ever shot with hardley any recoil. They are just plain sweet. You will not be unhappy. The Montefetro holds five shells also.

If you can purchase a Benelli auto, I would I have the SBE and a new M-1 in HD camo. I can't say enough good things about them. You can get a recoil reducer from Benneli and it does work. The Nova pump is nice also, but I still like the Mossberg 835 for the money.

I have the benelli black eagle competition model, it is the absolute fastest pointing, best come up, shot gun I have ever seen. It has 3 stock shims to give you the comb you need and is flawlessly finished. It will chamber up to 3" shells, I don't need the 3 1/2" as I have killed turkey at 50yds with the 3" and didn't feel the need to spend the extra money for shells. I guess the overall concensus is that there is BENELLI, and then there is everything else. You'll see. Best of luck.

Thankx JustC; I've already contacted 4 different sellers on the auction sight. I have a hard time to justify the extra price of the auto since I don't shoot competitivly.I have a buddy that owns one of the sport auto's and I do love the gun, I hope the pump works as well. I'm either in luv or maybe its lust...over the grayer cammo paterns, so thats where I'll start. I'm waiting for feed-back now!

I am thinking of getting rid of my 835 for a Bennelli, let me know how yours does and maybe I'll get one here in the near future.
