Feather, worthy or not?

Really interested in getting a feather carbine, if what they say about accuracy is true, I would be an idiot to pass on this firearm for the price (@$600). Not only that, but it's a very convienient storagable weapon, available in 22lr, 9mm., 40sw, and 45acp!. I am requesting any feedback on pre or post ban feathers. Should I go for it or not?

    I have owned a pre ban .22 Feather. It functions first time every time. Made In America. My 2 cents

    Are they still around? Do they still manufacture guns? I've always been curious as to how they functioned, handled a few at gunshows, but don't own one yet.

    It's an interesting firearm; quite modular in design & quite packable, if that's important to your needs. I have a 9mm that's about 2 years old now & enjoy shooting it either indoors (where it'll put 20 or 30 rounds into a 2" hole at 25 yards) or outdoors (where, with an 8x 'scope the groups get bigger but, from 75 to 100 yards, not out of a 9" circle; I blame that on the ammo, not the Feather).

    I don't know whether a given receiver will accept the components to shoot everything from 22 to 45 ACP; I'd inquired at one time of the Factory (out in Colorado) if I could get a .40 S&W bolt & barrel but received no reply.

    Just my $.02; if you know someone close at hand who has one, I'd ask for a "test drive." You might like it, or not.
