    Guys,
Anyone sell many SKS's? I have a 1954 Russian. It has a composite "sporter" stock. Also has a cheap scope and mount. I also have all the original woodwork and bayonet, and a 30 rd detachable mag.
I see these Russian ones on GB starting for $450 and over, but it doesn't look like many sell. What is a realistic street price? A guy wants to give me $350. What do you think?

this is debateable, but i think $250 would be fair, heres my reasoning the buyer would get an accurate, reliable, battle tested rifle with ammo being cheap, popular, readily available, effective for whitetail hunting{no more than 150yds at the most}. for under $300 any rifle with these capabilities would be a good deal in my opinion. now for the seller, many folks will tell that Norinco SKS's should be around $175 to $225 however the market {good or bad} has changed on these rifles and some are going for around $300-$400 for the Russian and Yugo models. i belive around $250 is a fair price for both seller and buyer.

Here is Phx., this is what I've seen: Chinese packed in cosmo-grease, new, crappy paint finish on stock - $169. Romainian & the Yougo's w/ granade launchers, not new $175 - $225. Russian: $300. All this is on the average give or take a little.

nicklasal, i belive the yugo's are higher because of thier availability and because they are unique{grenade launcher} from other sks's.

A guy I work with was trying to sell a Chinese model for $800. "RARE" paratrooper model you know. I just hope he never found someone foolish enough to buy it.
