22 calbier pistols

I am in the market for a semi-automatic 22 Lr pistol. Any brand is ok with me im jsut looking for a 22. I have had little succes with finiding one besides the Walther P22 which i am interested in but know little about. Any information on the walther or a pistol you recomend would be greatly aprrectiated. Thank You.

    I've scoped some decent deals on S&W 22A semi auto .22lr's and Ruger MKII's or 22/45's are pretty nice.

    Get a Ruger MKII i used to have one with a 6 inch bull barrel. It was a great little gun and it NEVER NEVER jamed. It was a pain breaking it down to clean untill i got used to doing it.

    I agree, definitely go with the Ruger Mark 2. It was my first pistol and I absolutely love it. Very accurate little gun and you can add a lot of accessories to it.

    I agree w/ rob3448 it is a pain in the a** because the instructions for the disassembly are similiar to tiawenese english computer instructions. I defy anyone to put their hands in the positions shown in the manuals.

    Notwithstanding that my Ruger MKll SS Competition model is awsome. I have worked my way through many types of ammo and have settled on Winchester Super X. WHere I buy my ammo (Wally World) the fellow swears by the low cost (Federal?) brick ammo for his 22/45. Now that my bolt has some "scuff marks" (break in?) I may revisit the other low cost rounds. I also have a Taurus 971 (22WMR) but that costs more to shoot than my KP 89 (9mm reloads 6.60) so I will probably trade in the wheel gun or another 22LR or a center fire.

    Buy a Ruger you won't be disappointed.

    My vote also goes to the Ruger.

    I'd prefer the 22/45 - same thing as the Mark II only with a 1911 style grip and shorter barrel.

    Smith & Wesson Model 41, (the auto all others are measured by). Excellent target sights and triggers, has similar ergonomics and weight to that of a 1911. Quick change barrel system for easy cleaning. They hold their resale value extremely well. Click below for pictures.....

    Another vote for the Ruger Mk II. The KMK-512 is a good all around choice: stainless, target barrel, adjustable sights. If you want to spend some more money, take a look at the Beretta 87 Target.

    Another vote for the Ruger. Versitile (they feed anything), accurate, dependable, long lasting (you can't hurt them), and all at the best price in town. Try the different varieties for comfort, but don't stint. Be sure you get target sights!

    I LEAN TOWARD THE BROWNING BUCKMARK.WHEN I WENT TOO PURCHASE MY 22 PISTOL IT CAME DOWN TOO THE RUGER OR THE BUCKMARK.I HAD ONE IN EACH HAND ,I ACTUALLY HAD TOO CLOSE MY EYES AND GO STRICTLY BY FEEL THUS I BOUGHT THE BUCKMARK.I JUST LIKED THE FEEL OF IT BETTER.IT IS A VERY NICE AND ACCURATE PISTOL,I HAVE FITTED IT WITH A RED DOT SCOPE .IT JUST DOESNT GET ANY MORE FUN THAN THAT.MY 2 CENTS
