And what is a good /fair price for either one.... .308
I have been doing A LOT of research on these guns as I plan to get one also. I was leaning toward the SM or at least the NM, but the weight issue as well as the NM sights versus field sights issues have prolonged my decision making process. The field grade is a better battle rifle and the NM and SM are better competition guns. At least that's my understanding so far from the guys who know.
When in doubt...empty the magazine!!
SM is Glassbedded.
That and the barrel choice is the only difference I can find.
The gas systems are unitized but the same on mine.
A NM that a local AMU armorer bedded is the most accurate of the 4 and has a SAK barrel.
