Marlin 1894 4 digit serial number?

Just wondering when this rifle was made. It has a full length round
brass looking magazine and buttplate and is in excellent shape.
38-40 cal. I can't find anything about serial numbers for this gun and the year it was made, the SN# is 1273.
I also can't find anything on the "brass buttplate and magazine".
Is that original?

Thanks in advance

There are several things to consider before an approximate date can be given.First of all ,what does it say on the barrel, write it exactly as appears.Does it have a target in the stock?? On the top tang what does it say???What is the condition of the wood?Does it look refinished? Is there a star stamped in the tang near the ser.# ??
Answer all of the above and I'll give it a shot.

It says Marlin Model 94 on top and it has a white outer circle with a black inner circle on the bottom of the butt. The wood is in excellent condition. There is a star stamped where it says Marlin
Model 94 behind the hammer on the tang.
I don't think it is refinished and have asked a friend
who is a dealer (not that that makes him an expert) and he says
it is not refinished. It has what looks to be a brass buttplate and
a brass magazine. The gun is really nice, I could send you some pics
if you want. I can get some detailed ones and send them asap if you
    wouldn't mind?
    Thanks for the response.

I forgot the top of the barrel here it is...

Marlin started using the bullseye logo in 1922. the last year they had the mdl 94 (until recently) was 1933. So some where between the the two.
