i was wondering what the approximate value on a commemorative set of lee/grant .44 cal revolvers would be. both have not been fired or if they have not very much. have the hardwood display case, and all the molds and tools. was given to me at a friends funeral.
thanks

TIM: Are you sure about the caliber of your Pistols? My Book of Colt says the Grant-Lee Set was in .36 Caliber Revolver, Commemorative. Cased Reproduction..Value as discribed is $1500.00...Colt also issued the Set Individually..Again , Colt says in .36 Caliber...Not .44...! The Individual Cased Pistol are worth $650.00 for the R.E.Lee and $650.00 for the U.S. Grant, Cased and unfired...and that also means NO COCKING the Hammers Back...as that leave a slight scratch around the Cylinder....and will devalue your Pistols by about 1/2...So don't handle them...Best...
