Have an M888 M1 Carbine from IAI. My question is, where can I get
clips for this weapon? Will any work or do I need to get them from
IAI?

Pick up an issue of "Shotgun News" you'll see them for sale. Place called "R-Guns" has 15 rd. for sale cheap - I've never done business with them. Milsurp. mags work best, had some problems with after market mags feeding right. Go to www.aimsurplus.com for some cheap ammo.

So you won't embarass yourself when you begin looking, you should know that the M1 Carbine uses magazines, while the M1 Garand does use clips. All Carbines, original and recent manufacture, use the same magazine pattern. Carbine magazines are readily available, both original WWII vintage and aftermarket. Contact lrarmsx at lrarmsx@mchsi.com and he will fix you up with quality magazines at a fair price. Tell him I sent you.
