Annie Oakley Box

Gentlemen,
I recently purchased a 9422 commemorative that was NIB. The box, however has some problems with wear and a hole where the hammer tore into it from the rifle being inserted upsidedown in the box. No problems with the gun at all, but there is a very light mark on the lever near the hinge indicating that the lever has been opened. How important to the Winchester fan are these shortcomings? It is most definately unfired. Is it common to have damage to a 20 year old box? This stuff doesn't bother me at all but if I ever sell it, I just wanted to have some idea how much of an issue this will be? Any opinions appreciated. Thanks!

ON A GUN LIKE THE :ANNIE OAKLEY" "JOHN WAYNE" OR 'BOY SCOUT" THE CONDITION OF THE BOX CAN ALTER THE PRICE $100-$250.00. ON SOME OF THE MORE COMMON GUNS MAYBE $50.00. LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR GUN. EMAIL duckhunter140@hotmail.com
