Sako scope mounting

I have a problem with my Sako TRG-S, it dove tail mounts and rings. I wanted to put a scope with a 50mm bell on it. Problem is the scope is not long enough (Cabela's Alaskan guide). The rings hit the back of the 50 mm objective with no room for adjustment. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions or am I out of luck. I know a 40mm will fit, but I had my heart set on the 50mm for this gun.

Thanks,
Hitman

I would say buy yourself a different 50 mil. A buddy of mine has a 3.5-10-50 Scopecheif on his sako 243 and there is no problem. I would say it is the brnd of scope.

Easy solutions. But first the problems.
1.Cheaper scopes usually are shorter to save $$$. They bend light harder which is one reason they're not as sharp.
2.TRGs has a longer reciever than a L579, or AII, so you'll run out of adjustment sooner.
I have extended ring mounts for Sako, Tikka, CZ, etc.

The only solution other than a new scope with longer barrel is the off set rings or extension rings as they are called. You will need a set of the high ones so the 50mm objective will clear the barrel. Good Luck, the TRG-S's that I have had really shoot.
