What are some bullets the others would recommend for a .270. I will hunt deer this year for the first time with the 270. Used a 243 in the past with 100 grain bullets. Thanks in advance.

Nosler 150 gr Partition bullet is also an excellent hunting bullet. Expansion is above average on soft skin animals like deer. RG

    Check out this link.

Almost forgot. ANY Sierra Game King bullet is a great choice. As a side note almost ALL competition rifle shooters use Sierra bullets.

I have taken all my deer with 130 Gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips. I live in the southeast and this bullet is accurate and deadly. This year, I am for the first time, going to reload some Swift Scirroco 130 Gr. I think with the bonded core I will get better peformance on a marginal hit. But I will always be partial to the B.T. Good Hunting!

I've used 130gr Barnes X bullets to kill several Whitetails with excellent results. They are available in the Federal premeium line of ammo if you aren't into reloading.

I used Hornady 130's for years, excellent results. I used 140 gr Ballistic Tips, they were baaad nasty killers. If you don't reload, the Federal Classics in the silver box were excellent performers and cheaper than "premium" rounds.

I use the nosler 130gr. ballistic tip. It is a great round. I use it for elk also and it brings them done with out any problem.

I hunt with Winchester or Remington 130 Gr bullets in my .270 Win Model 70 when I hunt Mule Deer or Coes Whitetail Deer in Arizona. I load my own ammo and buy my bullets bulk from Midway. They are a lot cheaper than Noslers and do just as good a job. I used to use bulk Sierra bullets until they started over pricing everything.
