Remington Model Six 30-06 value

I bought a remington model six 30-06 brand new in 1987. Since then I have been to numerous gun shows and pawn shops and have never seen another one. Is this gun rare. Should I hold onto it. I was in a car wreck in 1991 and broke the stock so it is not original it has a after market synthetic stock on it now. The gun has some scratches but is still in excellent condition. I was thinking about selling it and buying a browning 300win mag but if there is long term value in keeping it I can just hold onto it. Any info would be appreciated. thanks

    Tracy,
They were made from 1981 to 1987. I don't think you'll ever see any collector value on it, especially since it doesn't have the original buttstock.
They are supposed to bring about $50.00 more than the 7600's. Described as you say, I'm going to guess at around $300.00. I may be off, but I don't think by much.

I believe one of the main differences of the Model 6 compared to the 7600 and other Remington pumps is the quality of wood used on the stock and forend....with that gone I don't believe you have such a collectible gun.......I would say that bullelk is probably in the right range, possibly not even that high though.
