Llama .45, any good?

Are these Spanish guns any good? I heard their company was/is in trouble. They seem to have the looks (eg beavertail safety, combat hammer)and their price seems more than reasonable. Anybody has any experience with these guns? Thanks.

    I have read more bad reviews on this particular gun than the rest put together.Gun test Magazine said theres broke during trials.People in general hold little regard for them.I have no personal experience with the gun,but I have heard enough bad as to where I feel comfortable saying,Dont buy one.

    I have fired a friend's that was fairly accurate and somewhat reliable. From my understanding his was one of the good ones. I would look at something else if it were me...

    at a resale value in 98% condition of $275-$300, I would look elsewhere.

    A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

    Just say no! NOOOOOOOOOO to llama... Save your money, buy a slingshot and save for a real gun. As one poster on here signature says, save, research then buy the best...

    When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

    ditto to the "just say no!" They show up on our Range every so often, and it seems like they all have trouble. Feeding problems predominate.

    Unless you want one for just plinking around, don't bother. They aren't interchangable with 1911 parts, and they are pretty poor quality and fit and finish. You can see tool marks all over where they cut corners.

    Now don't get me wrong, they do shoot. And they are alot safer and better than say a lorcin. But definately not a duty worthy sidarm.

    I have a Llama/Firestorm .45. I put a little work into it, trigger job, etc... and have had no problems with it. Now you have me wondering if I made a mistake. But for the price I paid I'm quite happy with it.

    I HAD ONE, IT WAS BLUE AND CHROME, IT
    LOOKED GOOD, FAIR PRICE, FUNCTIONED POORLY, JAMMED OFTEN,IT DIDN'T LIKE ANY AMMO I TRIED IN IT, IT WAS NOT ACCURATE,IT WAS IN REPAIR SHOP THREE TIMES, SOLD IT CHEAP JUST TO GET RID OF IT.
    SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING MORE RELIABLE!

    Recently had an officer bring one to the range. I had to order that the firearm be removed. He spent so much time clearing malfunctions, that we couldn't watch all the shooter's and him too!

    I had a Llama once...for a very short time. In the rare instances that I could get it to feed and chamber a round, it was so horrendously inaccurate that you could point it at your temple to kill yourself...and miss.

    I had a Llama IX-D .45 for a short period of time. Feeding was a problem - it would stovepipe at least 5 rounds out of every 50, regardless of what ammo I was using. Plus, the double-stack magazine and wide steel frame made the thing feel like it weighed 30 pounds.

    However, on the rounds it DID manage to fire, that thing was extremely accurate. I was surprised at how accurate.

    But, I didn't like it because of the feeding problems. I'd never trust it as a defensive weapon. If it didn't go BANG every time I pulled the trigger I wasn't interested. So I sold it and bought something else.

    I have a maxi-1 45 llama. And I have no complants about it. Fits my hand just fine, and fires every time I pull the trigger, with all kinds of ammo. It's just as accurite as the glock 45 I have shot. Great gun for $200 in my opinion. I've paid more for guns that were alot worse.
